Decent value for a gift

I bought a One-Time Kit as a gift. I was looking for something special but didn't want to overspend. I found a newsletter signup offer for 10% off, which made it feel like a better deal. The recipient liked it, said the items were good quality. I think it was worth the price with the discount, but full price might be a bit much for me.

Good kit, fast delivery

I got the Standard Charcuterie Kit for a small gathering. The ingredients were fresh, and the guide was actually pretty helpful. Delivery was quick, arrived two days earlier than the tracking said, which was nice. My only minor complaint is that the amount of crackers felt a little sparse for all the cheese and meat.

First Platterful experience

I ordered the Gluten Free Charcuterie Kit for a party last weekend. Ordering was straightforward on their site. It shipped quickly and arrived well-packaged with ice packs, so everything was still cold. The selection of cheeses and meats was good, and the gluten-free crackers included were surprisingly tasty. The step-by-step instruction cards were a great touch; I usually just throw things on a board, but this made it look much fancier. I also watched one of the video tutorials which was easy to follow. Everything tasted fresh and high quality. The dried fruit mix was a hit. It was a complete package, very convenient.

Does anyone know if Platterful lets you stack coupon codes? Got one for signing up for emails and another from a friend.

I Ivy Patel 2 months ago
Nah, pretty sure it's just one code per order. Tried it before and it didn't work.

Yeah, they're usually one per customer at checkout. Most places do that these days, unfortunately. Pick the better discount!

Thinking of getting a kit for a party, is the 'standard' size enough for like 4-6 people to snack on?

M Mia Patel 2 months ago
The standard is good for 2-4 people for a full meal or 4-6 for appetizers. If it's the main event, go large.

I'd say if it's more than 4, especially if everyone's really into charcuterie, you might wanna bump up to the large. You don't want to run out of cheese!

hey, trying to send a platterful kit to my parents in Florida. do they ship there ok?

R Raj Lindqvist 1 month ago
Yeah, they ship everywhere in the US. My sister in Miami gets them regularly.

They use pretty good insulation and ice packs, so perishables stay fresh during shipping. Just make sure someone's around to grab it when it arrives, especially in Florida heat.

Is the Platterful subscription worth it? Like, compared to just buying stuff yourself?

T Todd H. 2 months ago
Totally worth it for the convenience and curation. The instruction cards are super helpful too, you get ideas you wouldn't think of.

For me, it's a good way to try new cheeses and meats I wouldn't normally pick up. Plus, the whole presentation part is kinda fun with their guides. Saves time if you're not into sourcing all the bits yourself.

Has anyone compared Platterful to Boarderie? Which one's better for a gift?

B Brett N. 2 months ago
Boarderie tends to be a bit more upscale/pricier, I think, and ready-to-serve. Platterful is more about the experience of building it yourself with their guide, which can be fun for a gift.

I've tried both. Platterful gives you all the components and instructions, so it's a bit more interactive. Boarderie sends them already arranged, which is great if the person just wants to open and eat. Depends on the recipient, really!
